The fee is already paid
A recycling fee is collected when a new mattress or box spring is sold in California. That money funds collection and recycling — not a new charge at your door.

We pick it up
Curbside or full service. Stairs, walk-ups, and gated buildings are routine. You don’t have to get it to Convoy Street.

It gets taken apart
Coils become scrap metal. Foam is shredded for padding. Fiber is pulled. Most of a mattress can be used again if someone actually sorts it.
Mattress recycling
What recycling is not.
- It is not an alley drop. We don’t leave units for bulk-trash day and hope.
- It is not a canyon pull-out. Illegal dumping is how mattresses end up in the riverbed.
- City drop-off at Miramar Landfill is free weekdays 7am–3pm if you can haul it yourself.
- We do not take known bedbug mattresses. Wet or twisted items are bagged.
